The Zamorin’s Guruvayurappan College is one of the oldest college in the state. It is situated on the highest peak of Pokkunnu. The total area of the campus is ninety four acres. At present the college has three units of NSS-Units 18,108&197.The allotted strength of volunteers is 300.The programme officers are Sri.K. Rahul, Sri. Rajan Malayil and Smt.K.G. Vanaja respectively. During the PERIOD 2005-2010 the activities of the NSS were very active. The following pages will give a close view of the various activities of NSS during the five year period.

 SPECIAL ACTIVITIES

Scholarship for one male and one female volunteer who excel in the field of blood donation and Palliative Care activities. The scholarship caries an amount of Rs.2500/- each.

Cash award for best NSS Volunteers.Rs.500/- each for one male and one female volunteer.

21. Hosted school children in the campus for star gazing.

23. Conducted campus beautification programmes on several occasions.

25. Hosted programme on evils of drug abuse by Excise department.
