ZAMORIN'S CENTER FOR INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH (ZCIR)
Our research centre (ZCIR) promotes research activities. 38.75% teachers have Ph.D as highest qualification and 42.5% have M.Phil as the highest qualification. About 50% of the teachers are engaged in active research. We have three completed minor research projects and four on-going research projects, of which one is a major one. We have to our credit 60 paper presentations and 120 publications in the last five years. 8 of our faculty are recognized research guides. 14 are pursuing Ph.D programme at present.. ZCIR has a PG student wing which has initiated research activities amongst students. A number of our faculty contribute to subject knowledge through publications and projects. Quite a few of our faculty act as resource persons for various establishments and for conferences and seminars. Many of them are BOS members and intervene in curriculum framing. Collaborations with OISCA, Pain and Palliative Care Society, SVYASA University, FAITHS, Sutherland Services, CSIR, IISR, BSI, ZSI and American Bibliographical Institute, to name a few, accentuate our research interests. We offer consultancy services in Yoga Therapy, Bio-systematics, Health Economics, Environmental Economics, Water Resources Management and VAM. The institution has enriched its infrastructural resources through the research projects - we now have two research laboratories, one in the Department of Botany and the other in the Department of Physical Education (Yoga Centre).
