Activities

As part of the orientation programme for first-year undergraduate students, the Department of History organised a lecture series titled "Past Revisited" to introduce students to diverse perspectives in the study of history. The series commenced on 06 August 2025 at 11:30 AM in Room No. 08 with a lecture by Prof. (Dr.) Sreesylum Unnikrishnan, Head of the Department, PG & Research Department of Malayalam, The Zamorin’s Guruvayurappan College, Kozhikode, on the topic “Zamorin’s Guruvayurappan College: Charithrapadhangal.” 

The second session was held on 08 August 2025 at 10:00 AM in the Research Centre Auditorium, featuring Dr. Shinoy Jesinth, Head of the Department of History, Malabar Christian College, Kozhikode, who delivered a lecture on “Entangled Worlds: Tracing Local Histories in Global Contexts.”
