The Department of History successfully organised a Summer Internship Programme titled "Local History Documentation and Digital Archives" from 21 May 2026 to 18 July 2026 at The Zamorin’s Guruvayurappan College, Kozhikode. The programme brought together 65 students from various colleges affiliated to the University of Calicut. The programme was inaugurated by Dr Priya Pilicode, Principal, Government Arts and Science College, Kozhikode. It comprised 25 hours of theory classes conducted by eminent scholars from History and allied disciplines, followed by 29 hours of fieldwork. The internship concluded with a project presentation on 18 July 2026, where students presented the outcomes of their field-based research.
